via the internet is becoming more and more popular so are the traditional directories dead and buried?

I think that the directory business is dead for B2B except for the motor insurance industry. The big players in the game such as Royal SunAlliance and Direct Line etc pay a lot of money to advertise in directories and I’m sure that they would not advertise if they were not getting some payback

I thinks you’re wrong Ken! The big insurers are just frightened to pull out in case they miss out - they are never that brave to embrace what will be their major income source from day one.

Hear Hear! Car insurance companies that I’ve worked for are cr**ing themselves as the Internet provides a level playing field. Directories don’t!! Bring on the Net!

You’re all deluded…. the best way to still buy cheap car insurance is from Yellow Pages and the like… the net does not address all those people without a PC…

Cheap car insurance is a combination of buying from the interweb and the directories. If you check your history you’ll see this is true.

Many years ago I was considered weak but wise, for my intellience shone through above all else. One day a brave young warrior confidently defeated my foe in a long hard physical battle and from that day he told me to believe in myself and go with my heart. Here my heart is telling me that the directory is truly dead as a wealthy source of media. Praise to the H***ster
