Guide to Making a Civil Claim
Many people shy away from making personal injury claims without actually realising that they also make a civil claim themselves. They just think that all claims for compensation have to go through a professional solicitor. There needs to be more clarity on a guide to making a civil claim for compensation.

I do agree with the prospect of more transparency for guidance making civil claims but the fact remains that most claimants get a better deal by instructing a solicitor, especially when the situation comprises a no win no fee scenario. We have found that most cases we have studied have shown that claimants received better offers of compensation than if they had gone it alone. A very good example of this came from a client who had been offered £500 in a pre-action intervention for whiplash. The client decided to take our services and actual received over £1800. We can’t agree more, there are many more claiments who get the settlement they deserve for their PI claim by simply sticking with the case.
